As individuals, groups, make their demands from the new coalition, the governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the 2023 election in Enugu State, Ray Kene Ogbodo has lauded the new opposition coalition for the adoption of African Democratic Congress, ADC, charging them to rescue Nigeria.
He expressed optimism that the movement will end hunger, insecurity, bad governance, inadequate leadership and move Nigeria forward.
Ogbodo, who gave the commendation through a press statement issued by his media aide, Mr Azubuike Akam, admonished the suffering Nigerians not to lose hope as things would improve and change with the new opposition coalition if voted into power by 2027.
He said, “Within the group, there are notable individuals who will hold each other accountable because some of them have been there before, made some mistakes and now want to do it right and better,” he said.
He said that the vision of the opposition coalition synchronizes with his, pledging to support any group and policy that would bring the Nigeria people out of abject poverty.
While describing the Acting National Chairman of ADC, Senator David Mark’s inaugural speech as hopeful, inspiring, powerful, and magnificent, Ogbodo called on Nigerians of goodwill to join and support the opposition coalition programmes and policies under ADC.
He added that “no single party or individual will succeed in defeating the APC-led bad government without deliberate support of the citizenry.”
Ogbodo said: “I encourage Nigerians to remain hopeful in the face of the current economic realities in the land, caused mainly by bad governance, leadership failure, poor economic growth, and development.
“I sincerely appreciate the endurance and perseverance of Nigerians over the years; poverty shouldn’t be an option.
“The main goal for the opposition coalition is to lift many people out of abject poverty of the pocket, mind, body, and soul.”
