As Abia workers join their counterparts around the globe to celebrate this year’s Workers Day, marked each year on May 1st, the State Chairman of Labour Party in the State, Hon. Sir Emmanuel Otti, has congratulated Abia workers for their selfless services and sacrifices.

In a release he personally endorsed and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Umuahia, Emmanuel Otti, appreciated Abia Workers for their dedication to duty and support for the Labour Party in the State under the administration of Governor Alex Otti.

The party Chairman who lauded the workers for their solidarity amid daunting challenges, urged them to keep hope alive as the Labour Party in the State under Governor Alex Otti, is poised to continue putting smiles on the faces of the workers.

He congratulated them specifically for being alive to celebrate another worker’s day, maintaining that the celebration will once again provide them with opportunity to re-commit themselves to the service of the State and ensure that they key into the policies of Governor Alex Otti aimed at repositioning the State.

The release reads in part: First of all, I want to join other well-meaning Nigerians to celebrate Abia workers on this auspicious day that recognizes the various contributions of workers aimed at nation building. The State might not have gotten to where it wants to be but I urge the workers to continue supporting Governor Alex Otti to completely re-write the story of Abia workers which was bad before Governor Otti came on board.”
