APGA: Edozie Njoku Reacts to Supreme Court Judgement

0

A stalwart of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Edozie Njoku, has stated that he will comply with the judgement recognising Sylvester Ezeokenwa as the National Chairman of the party.

Recall that Ezeokenwa, Victor Oye, and Njoku have been in court over the party’s chairmanship position.

Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja had last week ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to acknowledge Ezeokenwa as the authentic chairman of APGA.

The Supreme Court affirmed the judgement on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, addressing journalists in Abuja on Thursday, Njoku said he would comply with the verdict even though it is not in his favour.

Recall also that Ezeokenwa was elected APGA national chairman in May 2023 after an elective convention was held in Awka, Anambra state.

Njoku had contended that a convention that was held in Owerri, Imo state capital, produced him as APGA’s national chairman.

INEC, in July 2024, recognised Njoku as the national chairman, saying it relied on a court order to do so.
