The Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, has assured of the unwavering support of the Command to the welfare of the physically challenged in the South-East and beyond.
CP Isa stated this on Thursday while delivering his goodwill message through the Public Relations Officer, PPRO Abia State Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka at the South-East Deaf Women Conference and August Annual Meeting with the theme, “Breaking Barriers and Building Rights: Deaf Women Champion Inclusive Development.”

He stressed that disability is of the mind while encouraging the women not to let physical challenges deter them from actualising their potentials.
The Abia Police boss, reiterated that the Abia State Police Command, through its dedicated desk for persons with disabilities, remains open and accessible to them at all times.
According to DSP Chinaka, the event had in attendance, representatives from NAPTIP, government officials, the Poverty Alleviation Scheme Agency, invited panelists, special guests, and participants from across the South-East region.
The statement added that the conference featured participation from all deaf women wings across the five South East states who showcased their rich cultural heritage through unique dance performances and a co-ordinated march-past.
