APC Chieftain Faults Gov Soludo, Accuses him of Choosing Style over Substance

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Anambra State, Valentine Ozigbo, has faulted Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration, accusing him of choosing style over substance.

In a statement on Thursday while welcoming President Bola Tinubu, who visited Anambra to inaugurate some of Soludo’s projects, Ozigbo argued that Soludo had performed below expectations.

He stated, “Governor Soludo’s record is a glaring theatre of missed priorities, misplaced ambitions, and media optics masquerading as progress,”

“Governance is not about cutting ribbons on facades while the foundation rots,” he said, criticising the governor’s focus on image-lifting ventures while fundamental issues like public housing, unemployment, and insecurity remain unresolved.

Ozigbo faulted Soludo’s Solution FunCity project, arguing it reflected poor priorities in a time of economic hardship.

“This facility should rightly have been left to private investors. What critical social problem does this park solve? Hunger? Unemployment? Fear?” he asked.

Ozigbo also alleged that members of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance were instructed not to wear party regalia during the commissioning event—suggesting the move was an attempt to avoid scrutiny before the President.

“What a betrayal,” Ozigbo said. “If your policies are strong and your house is in order, why hide your colours?”

“We deserve a government that builds lives, not just lodges,” he said. “Leadership should be rooted in compassion, driven by vision, and measured by real change in people’s lives—not PR stunts.”
