A few days ago, a desperate cabal of political hirelings, evidently fresh from a strategy session in the deep recesses of falsehood breathed a twin set of corrosive, dilapidated lies into the cyber space.
Their mission? To distract, defame, and deceive.Their fabrications were as laughable as they were intellectually bankrupt.
The absurd claim that Chief Eric Opah promised to unilaterally release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu once elected Governor of Abia State.
The malicious claim that Chief Eric Opah plans to destroy the Nnenna Otti Bus Terminal in Umuahia.
Even the father of lies himself must have recoiled at the sheer lack of intelligence, depth, and basic strategy displayed by his disciples.
As the person who has been side-by-side with Chief Eric Opah for the past seven days, accompanying him to every single meeting, briefing, and strategy session
I can authoritatively state that these claims are pure, unadulterated fiction. Chief Opah has not been alone for twenty minutes, let alone had the time or inclination to address any press or group on these manufactured topics.
When this trash hit the internet, we didn’t panic. We exchanged glances and laughed hard.
Chief Opah’s immediate reaction was pure leadership, “Pat, please ignore them. We can’t be distracted at this stage. We have enough on the table and this is not one of them.”
While my Boss chose the high road of focused silence, I refuse to let innocent souls be poisoned by the toxic bile of panicked competitors.
Let us set the record straight with cold, hard facts.
A Builder cannot be a destroyer. To suggest that Chief Eric Opah would contemplate the destruction of a public asset like the Nne Oti Umuahia Bus Terminal is a psychological projection from minds that know nothing about creation.
Chief Opah is a builder of global businesses. A visionary who engineered a conglomerate from scratch and expanded operations across five countries does not tear down, he elevates.
He is driven by a fierce, lifelong commitment to infrastructural expansion and humanitarian advancement, not vindictive demolition.
On the delicate matter of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Chief Opah does not engage in reckless, beer-parlor rhetoric.
Having known him for over twenty years, I know a man of profound discretion. Furthermore, Chief Opah’s personal legal counsel is a distinguished Professor of Law and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
He understands the intricate, sub-judice nature of federal legal matters and would never compromise statecraft with cheap, sensationalist campaign promises.
However, do not mistake Chief Opah’s calm demeanor for weakness.
