Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State says the peaceful conduct of the South East Zonal Congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) showcases the party’s progress towards a transformed South East and a stronger Nigeria.
Uzodimma emphasised the need for full integration of the South-East region into national governance, stating that the APC is the most credible platform for this objective.
In a post on his verified X handle on Thursday, Uzodimma revealed that the congress adopted a consensus approach in electing officers, forming a Zonal Executive Committee headed by Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu and Chief Innocent Azuoba as Zonal Secretary.
He congratulated the elected officials and commended APC members for supporting President Bola Tinubu and working towards his 2027 re-election.
”The harmonious conduct reflects our shared determination to consolidate purposeful leadership and national development,” Uzodimma said.
He praised Governors Peter Mbah (Enugu), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, and other party faithful for ensuring a successful congress.
