‎Abia Govt Cancels Monthly Sanitation Exercise Slated for Saturday

‎Abia State Government has cancelled the monthly sanitation exercise for March to allow candidates take part in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board mock exam without hindrance.

‎In a statement on Thursday, Commissioner for Environment, Mr Philemon Ogbonna, said the exercise, initially billed for Saturday, has been cancelled to enable candidates participate in the exam.

‎He urged residents to disregard earlier announcements and keep their surroundings clean.

‎The state government wished candidates participating in the exercise success in the mock exam.

‎The statement read: The Government of Abia State wishes to inform the general public, particularly all residents of the State, that the monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise earlier scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026, has been cancelled.

‎”The cancellation is to enable candidates who registered for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) mock Examination slated for the same day to participate in the examination without any restrictions or hindrance.

‎”Residents are therefore advised to disregard the earlier announcements made regarding the sanitation exercise.”
