‎Just In: Abia Govt Cancels April Monthly Sanitation Exercise

‎The Abia State Government has cancelled the monthly environmental sanitation exercise earlier scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, across the state.

‎This was conveyed in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Philemon Ogbonna, and made available to newsmen on Friday by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Mrs Obioma Chidinma.

‎The statement urged residents to go about their normal and lawful activities without interruption, noting that there will be no restriction of movement on Saturday.

‎The Ministry of Environment also encouraged Abians to maintain a clean and healthy environment by practicing proper sanitation in their homes, markets, and places of business.

‎”The Abia State Government hereby announces the cancellation of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise throughout the State earlier scheduled for tomorrow Saturday, April 25, 2026.

‎”Abia residents are hereby informed that there will be no restriction of movements on Saturday.Citizens are encouraged to go about their normal and lawful activities without interruption.”
