Troops Thwart Oil Well-head Vandalisation Bid in Anambra

‎Troops of Joint Task Force South-South Operation Delta Safe (JTF-SS OPDS) have foiled an attempted vandalisation of an oil well-head in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The incident occurred around 11:10 p.m. on March 27, when 5 Battalion troops responded to intelligence on suspicious activity at Well-head 40, Opokushi Delta Company.

According to a military source, troops engaged suspected vandals, forcing them to flee and abandon dynamite and other sabotage equipment.

He said a bomb disposal team is working to safely neutralize the explosives, while troops maintain surveillance in the area.

The source reaffirmed their commitment to protecting critical national infrastructure and preventing economic sabotage.
