The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa on Monday flagged off a one week intensive operational training for newly passed-out constables of the Command.
According to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka, the programme is part of the vision of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to build a professionally
competent, service driven Police Force.
Addressing the newly passed out Constables, CP Isa charged them to maintain the highest level of discipline in the course of the training.
He further tasked them to strictly adhere to all directives from their instructors.
The statement revealed that the training commenced with intensive sessions in musketry and combat craft, to enhance their operational efficiency.
Also, the training is meant to strengthen endurance, and equip them with the tactical skills required to effectively protect lives and property across the state.
