Governor Otti to Flag-off Construction of 11.1km Obehie-Umudobia-Owaza Road in Ukwa West on Tuesday

As His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti OFR, remains committed to infrastructural transformation across the state, the Government of Abia State, has announced the flag-off of the Obehie-Umudobia-Owaza Road in Ukwa West LGA.

According to a release by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Information, Prince Okey Kanu, the Governor will officially flag-off the construction of the 11.1km Obehie-Umudobia-Owaza Road in Ukwa West Local Government Area on Tuesday, 11th March 2025, by 1:00 pm prompt while venue is St. Anne”s Secondary School, Obehie Asa, Ukwa West LGA.

According to the Information boss, this landmark project reaffirms his Excellency’s dedication to equitable development across the three senatorial districts of Abia State, ensuring improved connectivity and economic growth for the people.

The Commissioner noted that the road when completed, will boost the operations of the Abia Industrial Innovation Park at Owaza.

The release invites all stakeholders, political appointees from the area, community leaders, Party faithful, and residents of Ukwa West LGA to witness this historic event while uging all attendees to be seated before the arrival of the Governor and his entourage.
