‎Gov Uzodimma Appointed to Head APC’s National Convention Committee

‎Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has been appointed to head the Central Coordination Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2026 National Convention scheduled for next month.

‎Southeastposts reports that Governor Uzodimma, who is also the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), will lead the 73-member Central Coordination Committee for the all important National Convention dominated majorly by the state governors.

‎In a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka on Monday, the ruling party highlighted that all the state governors were part of the committee.

‎Also named in the committee include: Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as Vice Chairman, while the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, will function as Secretary of the Committee.

‎Other members of the National Convention include serving and former governors and some serving and former members of the National Assembly, who are members of the party.

‎Southeastposts reports that the Committee was constituted by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC as part of preparations for the party’s 2026 National Convention.

‎The elective National Convention is part of the activities leading to the selection of the delegates that elect the candidates to represent the party in the 2027 general elections.

‎It is also at the Convention that the delegates who will vote at the party primary elections would be determined.
