‎Southeastposts can authoritatively confirm that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State has commenced the electronic registration of its members.

‎The party has also taken decisive steps to strengthen its internal structure with the successful co-ordination of a sensitisation and e-registration device distribution at its secretariat, Okigwe Road, Owerri, the state capital.

‎The state APC chairman, Hon. MacDonald Ebere stated this when he addressed party faithful and stakeholders.

‎Southeastposts reports that the interaction brought together top government officials, party leaders, and other stakeholders in preparation for the full rollout of the electronic registration exercise.

‎Government appointees, LGA party chairmen, council chairmen, councillors, zonal and LGA e-registration supervisors, trained agents, and others were among those present at the engagement.

‎Ebere said the e-registration was a strategic party-building initiative designed to document APC membership, deepen internal democracy, and reinforce the party’s grassroots dominance in the 27 local government areas of the state.

‎He described the exercise as timely and necessary, adding that a modern political party must be driven by accurate data, discipline, and active participation of its members.

‎Ebere charged party leaders at all levels to take ownership of the process and ensure seamless mobilisation, coordination, and support for members during the registration exercise.

‎Southeastposts reports that participants at the meeting received technical briefings on the e-registration process, while trained agents and supervisors were formally issued devices to commence operations in their respective zones and local government areas.

‎According to the party chairman, the atmosphere reflected unity, readiness, and collective commitment to the success of the exercise.
