‎Enugu Tech Festival: Be Masters of Artificial Intelligence, Gov Mbah to Youths

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has stated that technology and innovation are not accessories to development, but operating systems of modern progress.

‎He noted that all over the world, ideas, code, and creativity are redefining economies, emphasising that in Enugu, his administration has made a deliberate decision to tap into the new order.

‎The Governor added that Enugu is not just an observer in the global revolution, stressing that the state under his watch, will be producers.
‎
‎Governor Mbah stated this during the opening of the second edition of the Enugu Tech Festival – a gathering that reflects a simple but powerful truth and emphasisses that the future belongs to those who prepare for it.
‎
‎Posting on his verified X handle on Tuesday, Governor Mbah pointed out that Enugu State is building a new ecosystem where innovation will thrive.
‎
‎He said his focus is actualising Smart Green Schools, equipping the children with robotics; AI and applied engineering, digital governance platforms, improving transparency and efficiency; GIS-driven land administration restoring credibility to the state’s real estate sector and expand digital infrastructure to power a knowledge economy.
‎
‎Mbah appreciated dignitaries, industry leaders, partners, members of the diplomatic corps, and innovators who joined in the event to make the festival a huge success.

‎He also appreciated thousands of young people who turned out en masse both from Enugu and across different parts of Nigeria, acknowledging that their energy, curiosity and ambition reaffirmed the state government’s belief that the future the state is thriving to build, is already taking shape.

‎Governor Mbah also urged younger people to explore the opportunity and be Masters of artificial intelligence just as he charged them to learn cybersecurity, build solutions as the tools, environment, opportunities have been provided for them to make good use of.
‎
‎He concluded by saying, “A century ago, Enugu was known for what it extracted. This generation will be known for what it designs.The future is not coming. In Enugu, the future is already here.”
