Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has reaffirmed that his administration remains focused and deliberate, in transforming the state quietly, consistently, community by community, city by city, and zone by zone, in the best interest of the people.
In a post on his verified X handle on Friday, Uzodimma said the state’s urban renewal project goes beyond aesthetics and beautification as it aims to deliver comprehensive modernization in Owerri and other major cities in the state.
He added that the urban renewal project directly addresses infrastructural deficits, stimulates economic activity, and promotes a healthier lifestyle for the people of the state.
Giving further insight, Uzodimma said in Owerri, the town has sustained the turnaround of public infrastructure, easing business operations, and improving daily life for residents.
Continuing, “Road reconstructions are progressing in phases, with New Owerri’s network undergoing significant transformation. Beyond rebuilding, we are implementing designs that improve traffic flow, control erosion, and provide adequate street lighting.
”These upgrades are strengthening the city’s hospitality sector and creating room for new investments.”
