As part of efforts to sustain the peace in Abia State, the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, have pledged to work together to ensure Abia remains safe.
The two sister agencies revealed this on Wednesday when the Brigade Commander, 14 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Dikko paid a familiarization visit to the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, at the Command Headquarters in Umuahia.
A statement on Wednesday by the Public Relations Officer NSCDC, Abia State Command, ASC I Doreen Udugwu, said the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration and enhancing operational synergy between both security agencies in the collective effort to ensure a more secure Abia State.
During the visit, Brig. Gen. Dikko stressed the importance of inter-agency co-operation, stating that effective security delivery thrives on unity of purpose, intelligence sharing, and mutual support among sister agencies.
On his part, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command, Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, appreciated Brig. Gen. Dikko for the visit.
He reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to sustaining a strong working relationship with the Nigerian Army and other sister security agencies to foster peace in Abia State.
