‎Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Salutes Anyaoku at 93

‎The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated one of Africa’s revered diplomats and Nigeria’s elder statesmen, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, as he marks his 93rd birthday.

‎Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, described Anyaoku as a towering symbol of patriotism, disciplined leadership, and global relevance.

‎In a goodwill message issued on Monday and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Dr Ezechi Chukwu, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, said Chief Anyaoku’s life of service and integrity remains a testament to the excellence, intellect, and leadership values of Ndigbo.

‎According to the organisation, the former Commonwealth Secretary-General’s outstanding contributions to international diplomacy and national cohesion has continued to inspire generations within and outside Nigeria.

‎The organisation described the nonagenarian diplomat as a rare national asset whose life reflects the highest ideals of leadership and service.

‎Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide said, “Chief Emeka Anyaoku is a living symbol of patriotism, an icon of national unity, disciplined leadership, and global relevance. His life affirms the boundless capacity of the Igbo spirit to serve humanity with honour, wisdom, and distinction,” Mbata said.

‎“Ohanaeze Ndigbo joins family, friends, and admirers worldwide in celebrating this remarkable milestone and prays for continued good health, peace, and strength for our revered icon,” the statement added.

‎Southeastposts reports that Chief Anyaoku, a former Minister of Foreign Affairs and ex-Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, is widely regarded as one of Africa’s most accomplished diplomats, with a career spanning decades of international service and national leadership.
