‎The governor, who is a pioneer student of the school, recalled that he served as library prefect and later senior prefect before graduating in 1980.

‎He noted that the school, formerly known as Uga Secondary School, was one of only four secondary schools in the area at the time, adding that it played a critical role in shaping his educational foundation.

‎Soludo, however ,expressed gratitude to the school’s founders, teachers and the host community for their sacrifices and commitment to education.

‎He particularly praised his former teachers, describing them as dedicated, competent and professionals.

‎The governor assured that his administration would continue to provide a conducive learning environment.

‎Earlier, the principal of the school, Mr Benjamin Igwema, commended the governor for his transformative interventions in the education sector.

‎Igwema said recent reconstruction works had significantly improved the school’s learning environment, to the benefit of students.

‎He also lauded the governor’s free education policy and sponsorship of West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) fees.

‎According to him, the initiatives had increased student enrolment and expanded opportunities for learners.
