ENUGU — The Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has approved the appointment of new members and principal officers to key state institutions as part of efforts to reform institutions, strengthen governance and enhance service delivery.
This was contained in a Public Service Announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, on Friday, September 4, 2026. The appointments take effect immediately.
The appointees and institutions are:
CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
Prof. Gabriel Ajah was named Chairman. Other members are Christian Mbah, Mrs. Stella Ekweremadu, Mrs. Theresa Onyefuzili Ifeanyichukwu, and Uzonna Emmanuel Ogarabe. Ambrose Nwodo will serve as Secretary.
ENUGU STATE TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING, TVET
Dr. Amaka S. Ngene was appointed Chairman. Bonaventure Onu, Barr. Nnadi Eluke, and Kingsley Agwu are members, while Mrs. Joy Odike will serve as Secretary.
ENUGU STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, ESUT, GOVERNING COUNCIL
Barr. Victor Chukwuani will chair the Council. Other members are Engr. James Ifeanyichukwu Ajibo, Dr. Eric Oluedo, Dr. Mrs. Gladys Ngozi Okoro, and Chukwu Chikaodiri Joy.
INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, IMT, GOVERNING COUNCIL
Hon. Chinedu Onu was appointed Chairman. Dr. Barth Nwankwo, Barr. Emeka Ede, Mrs. Rita Chimaobi, and Prince Tony Nwonye are members.
ENUGU STATE POLYTECHNIC, IWOLLO, GOVERNING COUNCIL
Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Aniagboso Igwe was named Rector. Deaconess Ifeoma Nwobodo will chair the Governing Council. Other members are Obinna Aleke, Barr. Henry Okeke, and Emeka Abba.
ENUGU STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, ESCET, GOVERNING COUNCIL
Barr. Nwabueze Ugwu was appointed Chairman. Prince Cletus Ajaegbu, Dr. Chiesonu Isiga Eruchalu, Dr. Chukwuemeka Nwatu, and Theophilus Onyebeke are members.
