UMUAHIA — The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, psc+, mnips, JP, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to inter-agency collaboration in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police.
CP Afolabi stated this on Monday, during a courtesy visit to the State Director of Security, DSS, Abia State, Mr. Kingsley I.K. Anuforo, fsi, at the DSS office in Umuahia.
Speaking during the visit, the CP said the engagement was aimed at strengthening collaboration in intelligence sharing and securing DSS involvement in the Command’s upcoming capacity-building programmes.
According to him, the programmes will focus on intelligence gathering, emotional intelligence, and threat analysis.
He added that discussions also covered the ongoing Community Safety Partnership Initiative across the state and joint security analysis ahead of the 2027 elections.
”Our goal is to build professionalism, public trust, and stronger synergy among security agencies to ensure a safer Abia,” CP Afolabi said.
Responding, Mr. Anuforo welcomed the CP and his team, and assured them of the DSS’ “utmost support, cooperation, and continued collaboration” in achieving shared security objectives in the state.
The visit is part of CP Afolabi’s ongoing working visits to key security stakeholders in Abia State.
