Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, has called on Civil Servants in the state to redouble their efforts and uphold the tenets of their job.
He also charged them to promote the policies of the state government in their various offices.
The Governor made the call
while addressing the congregation during the “2026 New Year Workers’ Mass” held at the Government House Chaplaincy.
Mbah, who said the job is far from finished, enjoined both civil and public servants to have a renewed vigor in playing their roles as his administration has an ambitious revenue target across the different Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
In his homily tagged “2026: A year of renewed momentum”, the Government House Chaplain, Rev Fr Anthony Udeh, asked God to give the governor and his cabinet the strength to continue to deliver the quality leadership they have embarked upon.
He highlighted several completed and ongoing projects across the state and lauded the state government for being a light of the state and the entire world.
The priest maintained that it takes a good shepherd, as exemplified by our Lord Jesus Christ, to touch every life as Dr Mbah has demonstrated in every facet of human endeavor.
