The Wife of the Abia State Governor, Mrs. Precillia Otti, has urged residents to prioritise awareness, testing, and compassion in the fight against hepatitis.
‎
‎In a message on her X handle on Tuesday to mark World Hepatitis Day, Mrs. Otti said awareness remains one of the greatest tools in combating the disease.
‎
‎She noted that this year’s theme, “Hepatitis: Let’s Break It Down,” is a call to break down ignorance, stigma, and barriers to testing, prevention and treatment.
‎
‎Mrs. Otti emphasised the need for regular health checks, support for those affected, and continued promotion of healthy living as Abia works toward a healthier population.
‎
‎She concluded, “Together, we can break the silence, break the stigma, and break the chain.”
