It was a gathering of PDP faithful on Sunday at Isiko, as Obingwa West hosted a thank-you rally for Enyinnaya Appolos and Dr. Kelechi Anosike ahead of the 2027 general election.
The event, held at the country home of Appolos, drew party leaders, women, youths, and traditional stakeholders who came to affirm their support for the PDP ticket in Obingwa West and Abia State.
Appolos, the PDP candidate for Obingwa West State Constituency, thanked the party for the opportunity to serve. He also congratulated Dr. Anosike on his emergence as the party’s governorship flag bearer.
According to him, the support shown to both candidates is a challenge to work harder and deliver victory for the PDP.
“The PDP is prepared. We are united. We will not be distracted. Our target is Government House and Obingwa West Assembly seat,” he said.
He promised that loyal party members would be carried along, stressing that “those who work for victory will eat from victory.”
Chief Ezinwa Abiri, PDP leader in Obingwa West, and LGA Chairman, Ahamefula Egbulefu, both vouched for the capacity of Anosike and Appolos to deliver.
The event climaxed with the presentation of the PDP flag to Appolos and the return of Chief I.I. Nwamuo, former Deputy Chairman of Obingwa LGA, to the party fold.
Attendees left with a resolve to mobilise massively for PDP in 2027.
