NYSC’s Medical Outreach Brings Relief to Amichi Residents

About 120 indigent residents of Amichi, Nnewi South, Anambra State, benefited from NYSC’s First Quarter 2026 Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD).

The outreach offered free medical consultations, drugs, and lab tests, including HIV and Hepatitis screenings.

NYSC State Coordinator, Pauline Ojisua, who kicked off the programme, thanked Amichi community for hosting the initiative.

Also speaking, Nnewi South LG Chairman, Uche Ochuba, represented by Chief of Staff Emmanuel Anameme, lauded NYSC for the outreach, saying it would improve healthcare access.

On his part, Hospital CMD, Dr. Chukwudalu Orji, praised the NYSC-hospital partnership, saying it is key to the programme’s success.
