Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has lauded the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by Senator Azuta Mbata for its purposeful leadership.
Speaking when he received the new leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Otti said the Mbata-led administration has not disappointed.
”We are very happy with the progress made so far. Why you got the support is because we know who you are, we know you have the capacity to do the job. And one year after, I’m sure we’re not disappointed,” Otti said.
Otti assured continued support for Ohanaeze Ndigbo, highlighting his intervention in renovating the State Secretariat and offsetting arrears.
He congratulated them on the near-complete National Secretariat and applauded the draft constitution.
Earlier, Senator John Azuta-Mbata, represented by Prince Okey Nwadinobi, thanked Otti for his role in his appointment.
He commended Otti for changing governance narratives and restoring Abia’s dignity, citing unprecedented policies in education, health, and infrastructure.
Nwadinobi outlined Ohanaeze Ndigbo’s programs, including saving the Igbo language from extinction.
He thanked Otti for support and urged Southeast Governors to make the region safer and habitable.
