Ngwa Group Drags Nwokocha Before Oha Ngwa Dibia Over Alleged Insult On Ikpeazu

‎A Ngwa socio-cultural group, Anyi Bu Nnaa, has petitioned the Oha Ngwa Dibia over an alleged insult directed at the former Governor of Abia State and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, by Hon. Darlington Nwokocha.
‎
‎The petition was presented on Friday during a meeting between the leadership of the group and the Chairman of Oha Ngwa Dibia, Chief Chinatu Oduluso, in Osusu, Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State.
‎
‎The delegation was led by the Chairman of Anyi Bu Nnaa, Kelechi Njoku, accompanied by the Secretary, Emmanuel Nwabilor.
‎
‎In the petition, the group expressed deep concern over what it described as the growing culture of younger people insulting elders without restraint.
‎
‎It noted that such conduct is alien to Ngwa tradition, stressing that respect for elders has always been a sacred value upheld by Ngwa forefathers.
‎
‎Anyi Bu Nnaa therefore demanded that Hon. Nwokocha tender an unreserved apology to his elder brother, Dr. Ikpeazu, in the spirit of peace, unity and reconciliation.
‎
‎According to the group, a sincere apology would help douse tension, restore mutual respect and reaffirm the values that bind the Ngwa nation together.
‎
‎The group also appealed to all parties involved to embrace dialogue and shun actions capable of deepening division among brothers.
‎
‎It expressed confidence in the capacity of Oha Ngwa Dibia, under the leadership of Chief Oduluso, to mediate in the matter and ensure that such conduct does not repeat itself.
