May Day: Enugu CP Giwa Commends Workers

The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, has felicitated with workers in Enugu State on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day observed May 1 every year.

The commissioner acknowledged the dedication, strength and resilience of workers in both the public and private sectors, adding that “their contributions remain vital to the peace, security, and development of Enugu State”.

This was contained in a release by the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe, which was made available to newsmen on Thursday.

Ndukwe stated that “CP Giwa commends nano, small, medium, and large-scale entrepreneurs; police officers and other law enforcement personnel, as well as other essential service providers, for their selfless service, enterprise, and professionalism in the face of evolving challenges.”

CP Giwa, in the release, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to fostering a secure environment “that enables meaningful work to thrive”.

“He urges all workers to take pride in their labour, uphold dignity, and continue to play active roles in building a more just, safe and prosperous Enugu State,” Ndukwe said.
