The Imo State House of Assembly on Wednesday screened two commissioner-nominees appointed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Southeastposts reported that the nominees, Prof. Bernard Thompson Ikegwuoha and Dr. (Mrs.) Vivian Chioma Egu, were screened during plenary at the Assembly Complex in Owerri.
Speaker Chike Olemgbe announced the completion of the screening exercise, stating that both nominees underwent thorough scrutiny and were approved to serve as commissioners in Governor Uzodimma’s administration.
Southeastposts reports that the entire House unanimously agreed on the nominees’ eligibility and suitability, with their screening and approval receiving full support from all members present.
The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to communicate the outcome to the Governor’s office for further action.
Meanwhile, the House adjourned plenary until Thursday after the Majority Leader, Rt. Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi, moved for adjournment.
