The new Head of Service in Abia State, Mr Benson Ojeikere, has warned that no form of corrupt practices would be welcomed in the Abia civil service.
The new Abia HoS who handed down the warning during his meeting with permanent secretaries and senior management staff in Umuahia on Thursday, cautioned them against involvement in fraudulent activities.
Ojeikere, tasked civil and public servants to brace up to change the narrative of the service, stressing the importance of their role in redeeming the image of the service and restoring its dignity.
He stated that the administration of Governor Alex Otti has no place for corrupt officials, assuring the workforce that their welfare is top priority, including providing regular training and retraining to equip them to deal with challenges in their various places of work.
Recall that Ojeikere who hails from Edo State, was appointed as the new Abia HoS in December 2024 by Governor Alex Otti.
