Nollywood veteran and a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Kenneth Okonkwo, has tasked people of South-East to focus its state creation agenda to Adada State.<\/p>\n
Okonkwo who made the call on Monday during an interview was reacting to renewed calls for the creation of an additional state in the South-East.<\/p>\n
Recall that Delta North Senator, Ned Nwoko, had\u00a0stated that creating another state would bring peace to the region.<\/p>\n
Reacting on Monday, the Nollywood veteran and lawyer said: \u201cThe bill seeking to create a state in the South East is a long-overdue act of fairness, equity, and justice.<\/p>\n
According to him,\u201cThe South East should take this opportunity to adopt a consolidated, peaceful approach to selecting one state among themselves\u2014specifically, Adada State, with its capital in Nsukka.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also added: \u201cAdditionally, Nigeria must redesign its revenue-sharing formula to encourage productivity rather than consumption.\u201d<\/p>\n
