{"id":5503,"date":"2025-08-25T02:06:42","date_gmt":"2025-08-25T02:06:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southeastposts.com\/?p=5503"},"modified":"2025-08-25T02:07:52","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T02:07:52","slug":"anambra-guber-cattle-dealers-amasea-branch-back-soludos-re-election","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southeastposts.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/25\/anambra-guber-cattle-dealers-amasea-branch-back-soludos-re-election\/","title":{"rendered":"Anambra Guber: Cattle Dealers Amasea Branch Endorse Soludo for Second Term"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">As the November 8 guber election in Anambra State draws near, the leadership of the Cattle Dealers Association of Nigeria, Amasea branch, and over 105 markets under the umbrella of the Anambra State Market Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA) have passed a vote of confidence in Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, endorsing his second-term bid.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">They backed Soludo&#8217;s ambition at the weekend during an event held at Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium, Onitsha, tagged \u201cA Day of Celebration with Anambra Traders in Appreciation of Soludo\u2019s Good Works.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Chairman of the cattle traders, Alhaji Bello Magari, informed journalists after the event that their unanimous support for Soludo\u2019s re-election was in appreciation of the state government\u2019s business policies and infrastructure development, which have supported their trades.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Magari appealed to the governor to continue his support for the welfare of his members.<\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Responding, Governor Soludo expressed gratitude to the traders and pledged to sustain ongoing reforms.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He said, \u201cI have been intentional in pushing for a recreated and regenerated Anambra. Since assuming office, we have not borrowed a kobo despite ongoing projects, and we will not lose focus,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Soludo also disclosed plans to harmonise levies and taxes to prevent multiple taxation, emphasising that petty traders, hawkers, and barrow pushers remain exempted from daily tolls.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Governor Soludo urged traders to uphold the values of hard work and warned youths against the lure of \u201cget-rich-quick\u201d schemes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Also speaking, the ASMATA President General, Chief Humphrey Anuna, said traders had prospered under Soludo\u2019s administration, citing peace in the markets and youth empowerment initiatives such as the \u201cOne Youth, Two Skills\u201d program.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In their contribution, the Patrons of ASMATA, Chief Jude Nwankwo, and Chief Jude Agumadu, lauded Soludo\u2019s achievements in urban renewal, infrastructure, education, and security, describing them as transformative.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the November 8 guber election in Anambra State draws near, the leadership of the Cattle Dealers Association of Nigeria, Amasea branch, and over 105 markets under the umbrella of the Anambra State Market Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA) have passed a vote of confidence in Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, endorsing his second-term bid.
