The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Abia State chapter has emphasised that Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe voluntarily resigned from the party, contradicting his claim of being sacked.
In a statement made available to newsmen, APGA spokesperson Chukwuemeka Nwokoro accused Abaribe of recruiting former members to fabricate a letter supporting his false claim.
Nwokoro stated that Abaribe’s resignation on December 30, 2025, undermines his claim of being sacked in September 2025.
The party described Abaribe’s actions as an attempt to deceive the Senate into accepting his unconstitutional defection to another party, noting that APGA has no internal crisis.
APGA claimed to have uncovered secret moves by Abaribe’s recruits to produce a fake document and warned those involved to stop or face consequences.
