…urges him to Deliver more Dividends of Democracy to Ndi Anambra
Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, has joined other Governors to congratulate the incumbent governor of Anambra State and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) at Saturday’s gubernatorial election, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on his re-election as governor of the state.
Abiodun, who is the Chairman of the Southern Governors Forum, charged Soludo to view his re-election victory as a demonstration of the love the people of the state have for him and, as such, to stimulate him towards delivering more of the dividends of democracy.
Abiodun stated these in a congratulatory message he issued in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Sunday, emphasising that Soludo must endeavour to unite all political tendencies in the state for the development of Anambra State.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, Abiodun stated that the results of the governorship election, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), clearly showed in unmistakable terms that the people of Anambra State have massive confidence in Soludo’s leadership.
Recall that Soludo emerged winner of the Anambra State governorship election held on Saturday, following the announcement of results from all the 21 local government areas (LGAs) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to INEC, Soludo secures 422, 664 out of a total of 584, 054 valid votes cast during the poll, defeating his closest challenger, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 99, 445 votes, as well as the ADC (8, 208 votes) and PDP (1, 401 votes), by a wide margin.
