Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has warned against election rigging during the November 8 governorship election in the state.
Speaking on Monday, Soludo alleging that some opposition have written election results ahead of next month’s polls.
Addressing supporters during his campaign rally in Akwa, the governor warned that those who have written election results will not get away with it.
Soludo said: “We don’t want election that is mago mago, Our opponents, one of them, they know that they cannot win their polling unit, the only thing they are planning is how to rig the election. They are planning that they already have the result sheet to write the election results.
Continuing, “We are waiting for them, let them finish writing. Whether they said that they are targeting seven local governments, some say nine local governments, some say 13 local governments, where they said that they would write the results and bring them in, we will be waiting for them and be clapping for them on that day to write the results and bring it.
“Is it going to happen in Anambra? Nobody has ever done that. If you do that successfully and leave Anambra, we will give you an award, not in Anambra, not here.
“And these people, they organized, they said they have written the results. They are going to import thousands of thugs into Anambra to be able to thwart the people.”
