A coalition under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-East, under the aegis of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, has declared that the region is determined to deliver massive votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The party loyalists said the decision is part of a strategy to secure a seat at the table in the equitable distribution of power, resources, and infrastructure at the federal level.

The coalition, which is comprised of coordinators of the ruling party’s support structures across the five states of the South-East, said the region’s growing support for Tinubu was a reflection of the positive impact of his administration’s policies and programmes.

According to them, their declaration came ahead of Tinubu’s scheduled visit to the South-East today as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of the APC in power.

Tinubu who will be received and hosted by South-East leaders in Owerri, Imo State capital, is also scheduled to commission landmark projects executed by the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodimma.

Speaking on behalf of the group in a joint statement on Monday,, Henry Ikoh (Abia), Okey Ezenwa (Anambra), Kelechi Igwe (Ebonyi), George Ogara (Enugu) and Opiah Goodluck (Imo), said Tinubu’s achievements in economic reforms, infrastructure development and national cohesion had continued to endear him to the people of the region.

They assured the President of the full support of the region in 2027, while calling on all Nigerians to support the re-election of the President without any distraction.

They said: “Indeed, the South East wants to vote massively for President Tinubu in 2027 to sit at the front of the table in the equitable distribution of resources and infrastructure.”
