The Federal Commissioner representing Abia State in the Federal Character Commission, Obinna Oriaku, has promised Abians, Abia State Government and the entire Southeast of unbiased representation at the Federal Character Commission.
Recall that Oriaku’s appointment was contained in a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy.
Oriaku while reacting to avalanche of congratulatory messages on Monday via a statement he personally endorsed and made available to newsmen, especially the congratulatory message from the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti and other well meaning Abians and Nigerians, he assured that he will confront his new role with diligence.
He promised that he, and other members of the FCC of Southeast extraction, will ensure that issues confronting the zone will always take the front burner in their discussions and deliberations, calling for their continuous prayers.
The statement reads, “I write to acknowledge the letter of felicitation from our Dear Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti (OFR), on my recent appointment as the Federal Commissioner representing Abia State in the Federal Character Commission, alongside other appointees from the South East.
“My assurance to you is that we will work diligently with leaders in the South-East to ensure that Abia State, and indeed the entire zone, is properly represented in the Commission.
