Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has congratulated Blessing Ejiofor, a member of the victorious D’Tigress that won African Women’s Basketball tournament in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire who hails from Ebonyi State.
In a post via his official X account on Tuesday, Gov. Nwifuru said with this victory together with other girls in the team, Ejiofor has made another history with her achievement, adding that the State is proud of her.
Nwifuru noted that with the outstanding performance, Ejiofor is now a source of inspiration for every Ebonyi girlchild, emphasising that the virtues of resilience, dedication exhibited by her and others which led to accomplishment should be emulated.
The Governor recalled that Ejiofor has impacted many through her charity works carried out by Muna Foundation’s Girls Empowerment Camp, maintaining that she has continually served as a beacon of hope for many Ebonyi girls.
Governor Nwifuru said, “I take great pleasure and pride in congratulating our very own Blessing Ejiofor from Ebonyi State, one of the champions who made our nation proud by winning a historic five-straight title in the African Women’s Basketball tournament in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire.

“I also recognize your efforts in empowering girls through the Muna Foundation’s Girls Empowerment Camp. You are a true beacon of pride for our people, and we will continue to celebrate your achievements.
