Protection of National Assets: Abia NSCDC forms Partnership with NMDPRA

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abia State Command, Akinsola Aderemi, has reaffirmed the commitment of NSCDC to protect critical national assets and infrastructure from vandalism, theft, among other threats.

A statement made available to newsmen on Thursday by the Public Relations Officer
NSCDC, Abia State Command, ASC II Doreen Udugwu, said Aderemi stated this while hosting the State Co-ordinator of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) at the Command’s headquarters.

The NSCDC Commandant added that it is their mandate to provide adequate security that will ensure that these assets are not vandalized by miscreants while expressing his appreciation for the visit.

He pledged that the Command will continue to partner the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).

On his part, Mr. Ekpo Udeme, the State Co-ordinator of NMDPRA, emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two organizations while highlighting the NSCDC’s role in preventing pipeline vandalism and enhancing petroleum infrastructure security.

The statement revealed that the visit was aimed at fostering a stronger relationship between the NSCDC and NMDPRA, as well as to seek opportunities for collaboration.

According to the Public Relations Officer, NSCDC, during the meeting, the State Commandant was accompanied by some members of his management staff.
