Speaking during the event, the Chairman of the Abia State House of Assembly Service Commission, Uchechukwu Maduako, represented by Commissioner One of the Commission, Lady Mrs Grace Ibe, enjoined the retirees to always carry themselves as rich people no matter the circumstances around them.

Maduako, who acknowledged that the emergence of Sir John Pedro Irokansi Ph.D, as the Clerk of the House heralded positive changes in the Assembly, further encouraged the retirees not to look dismembered, adding that the Grace of God has always followed those who retired from the Abia State House of Assembly.

Contributing, Sir John Pedro Irokansi, the Clerk of the Abia State House of Assembly, encouraged the retirees that retirement is a feat everyone in service must attain, emphasizing that a civil servant must rise through the ranks and attain retirement age someday.
