Southeastposts has gathered that the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command has launched investigation into a reported attack on the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the forthcoming Anambra State election, Jude Ezenwafor.
Recall that Ezenwafor survived an assassination attempt on his life in Abuja on Friday night when gunmen suspected to be assassins attacked and shot him.
He was later admitted in an undisclosed private hospital in the nation’s capital for medical treatment.
Southeastposts learnt that the November 8th Guber candidate in Anambra State is currently battling for life.
Speaking on the development, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the command had launched an investigation into the incident.
She also said the true position and situation surrounding the incident cannot be ascertained at the moment.
