Addressing Civil Servants in Umuahia, the State Capital, Abia Head of Service, Mr Benson Ojeikere said the Governor Alex Otti led government is passionate about combating corruption and upholding ethical standards within the Civil Service.
A release by the Director, Information, and Public Relations Office of the HOS, Adaeze Ralph Igbokwe, said the HOS, charged workers to strictly comply with the new Government operational procedures adding that acts of sabotaging it’s policies and programmes will not be condoned.
According to the release, the Abia Head of Service who noted that pervasive theft and fraudulent activities have brought negative perception in the Public Service, charged workers to eliminate these practices to restore the dignity and credibility of the Service.
