The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has said it has concluded arrangements to organise an on-the-spot complaint resolution for consumers.
The exercise, according to EEDC which will commence with electricity consumers in Abakaliki and Afikpo districts of Ebonyi, is part of the company’s initiative to resolve consumers’ billing-related concerns.
Emeka Ezeh, the group Head of Corporate Communications of the company, who spoke to journalists in Enugu on Wednesday, said the initiative would enhance customers’ experience.
He stated that the three-day event would be held at three different locations from July 22 to July 24, between 10am and 2pm in Ebonyi, urging customers with billing concerns to seize the opportunity to have them addressed.
According to the EEDC spokesperson, the first day of the exercise — scheduled for July 22 — will commence at 10am at the EEDC Old Office, located beside the Ebonyi ministry of finance in Abakaliki.
He said, “Day two of the exercise – Wednesday, July 23 – it will hold by 10a.m. at the EEDC GRA Service Center (opposite Democracy Estate), Abakaliki,” Ezeh said.
“Day three – Thursday, July 24 – it will take place by 10a.m. at the EEDC Afikpo Service Center, Amachi Road, Afikpo.
“Customers are required to come along with their recent electricity bills, receipts or proof of payments, and any other supporting documents or correspondence related to their complaints.”
He said the on-the-spot complaint resolution is strictly focused on billing issues while advising customers with other concerns to visit the customer service units at district offices or service centres for proper assistance.
