Ward, LGA Coordinators and Abia State Executives of the Renewed Hope Agenda, were on Saturday in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, tasked to continue to work and preach the achievements of the present administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Belusochukwu Enwere, the National Co-ordinator, Renewed Hope Agenda, who gave the charge, said much has been achieved under the Renewed Hope Agenda, submitting that the South-East zone will massively vote for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
He said the whole idea behind the President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, is to give power to the people and empower them to contribute to the advancement of the country.
He opined that instead of the usual Top to bottom approach, the President through the programme, devised a means of reaching out to people at the grassroots through empowerments, saying that this can be better described as the “bottom top approach”.
Enwere, who revealed this on Saturday during the Inuaguration and Empowerment of Renewed Hope Co-ordinators in the 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State, said the approach is a game changer and will continue to concentrate on empowering the people of South-East who according to him, had not had it this good in the history of the country.
He noted that, South Easterners, both the youth, women have already pledged to support the President in his re-election bid, adding that they are committed to ensure that 2027 is a walkover for President Tinubu in the South-East.
“South East Renewed Group agenda is a platform where all the South Easterners, both the youth women have come together to support Mr. President for what he has done for South-East zone. We are committed to his re-election. That is, you can see this, what President has done in South East, the creation of South-East Development Commission, All these are landmark achievements. We will not be waiting for others to come and develop our place. We are to develop our land and through this laudable initiative of the President’s, we are already making that happen.
Enwere said the Renewed Hope Agenda would continue to ensure the policies of President Tinubu. He cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) removal of subsidy, creation of the South-East Development Commission, as some of the steps taken by Mr President to better the lots of Nigerians and people of South-East, emphasizing that theirs is to ensure that these giant strides are communicated down to the grassroots.
“I know you may have no idea that Mr. President created South-East Development Commission to help develop our region. We do not take this kind gesture for granted. Thank you Mr. President for this.”
Earlier while inaugurating the Ward and Local Government Co-ordinators, Enwere commended them for believing in Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and accepting to be part of his cause, assuring that they will not be let down.
“We are excited that you have chosen to help drive Mr. President’s policies down to the grassroot. Today, it is significant to note that we are not just inaugurating, but empowering you to make sure that you have something doing to earn a better living.
He also announced various empowerment packages for the Co-ordinators and others including : Sewing machines, Grinding machines, Hair dressing machines and dryers just as he announced the release of N200,000 for 100 business owners, N100,000 for 200 businesses, N50,000 for 300 businesses and N20,000 for 500 indigent families.
Enwere urged all South-East and Nigerians to join the renewed efforts to reposition Nigeria through the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Contributing, the State Co-ordinator South-East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), Amb. Uche Adibe JP, called on the Ward, LG Co-ordinators, Nigerians at large to join hands in building a virile future for their children and generations yet unborn.
He called for the promotion of unity, progress and development in Abia State and Nigeria at large, adding that the Renewed Hope Agenda, is an initiative that embodies the collective aspirations of the people and will guarantee brighter future, a better Nigeria, calling on all to key into this laudable initiative by the President.
Amb. Uche, appreciated President Tinubu for his administration’s efforts in navigating the country towards the path of unprecedented growth and development, insisting that under his watch, there has been significant achievements as his policies and programmes have indeed impacted positively on Nigerians.
He also lauded the visit by the National leadership of the Renewed Hope Agenda to inaugurate the Chapter, stressing that the visit shows that they are poised to develop and include the grassroots in the scheme of things.
He added that it also an indication that grassroot politics is key, while also commending the national leadership for empowering the Co-ordinators, emphasizing that it will foster inclusivity which will drive positive changes in the zone ahead the 2027 general election.
