Abia State Government in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, has announced date for official flag-off ceremony for the restoration of House-to-House Sanitary Inspection Services (Ndi Ole Ala) across the state.
A release signed by the Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Environment, Obioma Chidinma Success for the Commissioner, says the flag – off ceremony will hold on Thursday, 26th June 2025 at Conference Hall, JAAC Building, Ogurube Layout, Umuahia while time is 11:00 am.
According to the statement, the significant initiative marks a major step in strengthening environmental hygiene and promoting public health in all 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State.
Giving further details, the Ministry revealed that the event will feature a Keynote Address by the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, under whose visionary leadership the initiative is being revived.
The release added that the exercise reaffirms the government’s unwavering commitment to improving sanitary standards, fostering healthier living conditions, and ensuring environmental cleanliness in homes, streets, markets, and neighbourhoods.
The Ministry also called on all residents, community leaders, and environmental stakeholders to attend and actively support this laudable initiative, saying that together, a cleaner, safer, and healthier Abia State can be built.
