Abia State Police Command says it has strategically deployed security personnel across the state to guarantee the safety of life and property during the Easter celebrations.

The Command also stated that the deployment of the personnel will ensure regular and special patrols of major roads, worship centers, recreational spots, and other public areas.

In a statement on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, Abia State Command, DSP Maureen Chinaka, these efforts, alongside other covert and overt operations are aimed at ensuring a hitch-free Easter celebration for all Abians.

According to the statement, this measure is also in tandem with the Command’s commitment to ensuring public safety, adding that the Command has activated a comprehensive Operation Order to provide robust security measures before, during, and after the Easter celebrations.

The Abia State Police Command also used the opportunity to extend its warm Easter greetings to all Christian faithful in the state as they observe the occasion commemorating the resurrection of Christ, urging them to be vigilant.

While emphasizing the importance of vigilance and security consciousness during the celebration, the Command advised Abians to report any suspicious individuals or activities to the Police by calling the following emergency hotlines: 08035415405, 08079210004, 08079210005 and 08079210006.
