Gov Otti Set to Flag-off Umuahia Dedicated Internet Access/wide Area Network Project

The Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, is set to launch the Umuahia Dedicated Internet Access/Wide Area Network (WAN) Project, a landmark initiative aimed at revolutionizing digital connectivity within the Abia state civil service.

A statement issued to newsmen on Thursday by the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Information,Prince Okey Kanu, revealed that the groundbreaking event will take place on Friday, 21st March, 2025 by 1pm prompt while venue is Nnamdi Azikiwe Secretariat Complex, Ogurube Layout, Umuahia.

According to the release, this project underscores the Abia State Government’s commitment to leveraging technology for efficient governance, improved service delivery, and a digitally empowered workforce.

The Commissioner informed that due to the significance of this project, stakeholders invited for the event include: Heads of MDAs’ the Body of Permanent Secretaries, Directors of MDA’S , All Civil Servants within the Abia State Government Ministries.

The release added that the presence of all invited guests is highly anticipated as the state takes another bold step toward a digitally-driven Abia State while advising invited guests to be seated before the arrival of the Governor and his entourage.
