The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Kayode Egbetokun, has decorated 102 senior officers in Imo Police command with new ranks.
Performing the ceremony in Owerri on Tuesday, Egbetokun, represented by the the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Aboki Danjuma, said the officers were promoted for their hard work and dedication to duty.
Southeastposts reports that the promoted officers included: one Assistant Commissioner of Police, 29 Chief Superintendents of Police, six Superintendents of Police, and 67 Deputy Superintendents of Police.
Among the decorated officers were the Head of the Department, Operations, ACP Daniel Iroakazi, the Divisional Police Officer, Njaba, CSP Martins Emerie, and the command’s Spokesman, DSP Henry Okoye.
Egbetokun reminded the officers that the road ahead was challenging, urging them to stay vigilant and uphold integrity and professionalism.
Earlier, Danjuma commended their support and dedication that culminated in the command’s achievements during the Yuletide.
He promised the Police senior hierarchy that the officers would continue to serve the command and state with renewed commitment and determination.
