Ndigbo Unity Forum, NUF, a social cultural organisation in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria has condemned the recent killing of five members of Anambra Vigilante Group, AVG, in Ihiala Local Government Area by some unknown persons.
The Forum also demanded that Anambra State government should pay the families of the victims N10 million each.
In statement made available to newsmen on Saturday, the President of the NUF, Augustine Chukwudum, said the organisation is concerned about the spate of killings in the zone in the past three years because the development gives the impression that human life was no longer sacred.
NUF appealed to President Bola Tinubu to do all that was necessary to boost security in the South-East. just as it called on the governors of the zone to expand the economies in the zone to create jobs for young people that are now taking to crime to survive.
