Men of the Anambra State Police Command have nabbed a witch doctor and another suspect in connection with alleged armed robbery and kidnapping.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, adding that the arrest followed the testimony of a rescued victim who led police to the suspects’ hideout.
According to the PPRO, the victim had been lured to the location by another suspect, who is still at large, before being abducted at gunpoint and taken to a shrine.
He added that the arrested suspects have confessed to the crime and are currently assisting the police in their efforts to apprehend other members of the gang.
Ikenga said, “One pump-action rifle, the victim’s vehicle, and other incriminating items were recovered from the suspects.”
